The online application window for the position of Assistant Loco Pilot is probably going to be open on the official website from January 20 to February 19. RRB ALP Qualification Standards 2024
The following lists the requirements for Indian Railways’ Assistant Loco Pilot position, including the minimum age and educational background.
Educational Qualification:
- One must have passed the Matriculation exam from a recognised State or Central board, and he or she must hold an ITI Trade certificate in the respective discipline from SCVT/NCVT.
OR
- An individual must have completed a 3 year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical, Electronics or Automobile Engineering or pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an AICTE recognised institution.
Age Limit:
- One’s age must not be below 18 and above 30 years as July 01, 2024, and there will be upper age relaxation for 3 and 5 years for OBC (NCL) and SC/ST aspirants, respectively.
Application Fee for RRB ALP 2024
A ₹500 application fee must be paid in order to apply online for the position of Assistant Loco Pilot through the Railway Recruitment Boards for those in the General or Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer).
Note: Candidates from economically disadvantaged classes, women, transgender, SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, PWDs, and Minorities must pay ₹250 only.
Selection Procedure for RRB ALPs 2024
The Indian Railways has the following three steps in its selection procedure for the ALP job.
CBT I:
- Exam Mode: Online
- Time: 60 minutes
- Sections include general science, general intelligence and reasoning, mathematics, and general awareness of current events.
- There are 75 questions.
- Points: 75
- Marking scheme: 1 point is awarded for every right response, and ⅓ of a mark is deducted for each wrong response.
CBT II:
- Exam Mode: Online
- Two hours and thirty minutes have passed.
- Sections:
- Part A: Science, Mathematics, General Science, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness of Current Events
- Section B: Pertinent Trade
- Part A: 100 questions in total
- Section B: 75
- Grades: Section A: 100
- Section B: 75
- Marking scheme: 1 point is awarded for every right response, and ⅓ of a mark is deducted for each wrong response.
Test of Aptitude Based on Computer (CBAT)
Following their call to participate in the CBT I and II, candidates will be selected based on a final list.
Procedure for online RRB ALP Recruitment 2024 application:
- Go to the appropriate Railway Recruitment Board website.
- Locate and press the option that says, “Recruitment of ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) 2024.”
- You will now be prompted to submit your educational background and basic information; fill it out completely to go on to the next page.
- Upload scanned copies of the documents together with the photo and signature.
- Submit an online application after paying the application cost with a debit card, credit card, NET banking, or UPI.
